A Profound Honor

My heart swells with immense pride and a love that transcends words as I share a truly profound honor. In a gesture that beautifully captures the legacy of my beloved husband, Dr. Mitra, a Gold Medal will be lovingly instituted in his memory. This tribute, from the esteemed Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, a beacon of learning under the Government of India, is more than an award; it is a recognition of a life dedicated to knowledge and service.

On September 10th, 2025, at the magnificent Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the Honourable Union Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, will bestow this honor—a moment that feels both deeply personal and universally significant. It is a testament not only to my husband's brilliance but to the nation that nurtured him, that shaped him, and that allowed him to rise to the level of a distinguished scholar.
